CodeExplorer – Amazing jQuery Plugin For Displays Folder Structure

There are plenty of plugins out there like SyntaxHighlighter, Prettify, and GeSHi that will format the code with colors and spacing… but what about when I want to display an entire folder structure? CodeExplorer is plugin for jQuery that allow us to display entire folder structure.

The plugin allows for different themes, multiple instances, fullscreen mode, github connections, and much more. This is the first version of this jQuery plugin. At first, it was only meant to allow traversing through a local directory of code.

KCFinder is an alternative to the CKFinder web file manager. It can be integrated into FCKeditor, CKEditor, and TinyMCE WYSIWYG web editors (or your custom web applications) to upload and manage images, flash movies, and other files that can be embedded in an editor’s generated HTML content.

The only way to use KCFinder with Internet Explorer 6 is to install Google Chrome Frame ActiveX plugin.

elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI. As you can see its creation is inspired by simplicity and convenience of Finder program used in Mac OS X operating system.

The main goal of file manager – is to make you work with remote files the same convenient, as on your computer. You can select files the usual way as on your computer and then just drag them to desired folder to move.
