Tympanus is sharing a music portfolio template . The idea is to create an artist portfolio with a discography line up and HTML5 audio player jPlayer. The artist albums are shown using the jCarousel plugin and the user can add song samples to the play list and reorder the songs by dragging them.

All the albums are fictitious and are only shown for demonstration purposes.

Surgeworks made a Facebook Graphic User Interface (FBGUI) resource kit for Photoshop to make our work easier. The kit brings the Facebook vector icon and logo. Also, since the focus of this resource are the UI elements, it brings a main window with the header, menu and the chat window for you to set up your realistic mock-ups. Cannot forget to mention all the modal components, comment boxes, buttons, message boxes, tabs, etc.

Piecemaker is a open source Flash image slider that displays images with 3D slice effects. The slide images can be configured from a XML file like setting the tween type, distance, time, delay, etc.

The Piecemaker usest he mighty Tweener engine from Caurina, which makes it support plenty of tween types for the transitions, such as Cubic, Bounce or Elastic. Beside the transition type you can also customize tweening time, tweening delay as well as the movement of the cubes while tweening in terms of position on the z axis and positions to each other. With this you can make the cubes move towards the screen or away from it and let the whole gallery expand while tweening.

This image slider doesn’t require working with the .FLA source file. The slider shows images almost instantly due to the external image loading feature and supports JPG, GIF, PNG formats.

Now that Apple has officially released the iPad we want to start designing for it. While Apple’s interface builder is great, it doesn’t really allow us to create custom UI elements on the fly. Geoff Teehan on teehanlax decided to take a page from their iPhone GUI PSD and create one for the iPad.

The PSD was constructed using vectors, so it’s fully editable and scalable. You’ll notice there are a few new UI elements as compared to the iPhone interface. The workable screen design is formatted to 768×1024 so anything you design in the Photoshop file can easily be brought over to the SDK.
