In this featured tutorial, Jake Rocheleau of Design Woop teaches you how you can customize your CSS buttons using pictogram icons.

Before, designing website buttons was a long and tedious process, with gradient background and icon issues because they require static images even if you use CSS. Now, by creating generic CSS3 buttons with added icons, you can incorporate them into your website’s user interface. Entypo icons font will be used instead of icons loaded with static images or sprite sheets for generating pictograms inside the layout. The font package is very versatile and fits other open source resources, the reason why it’s a perfect choice for this tutorial.

Here’s a demo for this cool design. The codes used by Rocheleau are easy to follow and the design also has an eye-candy look that’s very appealing to visitors. It can be modified as well so if you want to inject your own style using this one, it will work fine.
