Create dramatic and responsive headlines with slabText! Created by frequency-decoder, this jQuery plugin splits a body of text (i.e. headline) into rows before resizing each row to fill in the available horizontal space.

There are two ways to accomplish this. The first is to let the script do the necessary calculations and create the individual rows itself, and the second its to indicate a preset number of rows or word combination within the markup. Both of these methods have their own pros and cons, so deciding which one of them you’re going to use will depend on your headline’s attributes (character count, font size, etc.). You can check out a comparison between the two methods in the demo page.
This plugin is inspired and based on the slabtype algorithm created by Erik Loyer and Paravel’s fittext jQuery plugin.
