Pulse: An Alternative to Google Reader
A very helpful tool to all users who like to read on RSS feeds is Google Reader, but unfortunately, Google has decided to discontinue its services. Good thing there are alternatives such as Pulse.
Founded in May 2010 by Akshay Kothari and Ankit Gupta, two grad students at Stanford’s acclaimed d.school, Pulse allows you to choose a wide range of topics that would interest you and be able to subscribe to its RSS feeds. You can share your stories and save them for later and you can also send these saved stories to different services that include Evernote, Pocket, and more. You can also customize it with unique pages and sources.
Pulse has a great design and user-friendly interface that provides an efficient and easy way to read the RSS feeds of your favorite blogs, magazines, articles and others. It is available for Android and iOS apps.
Pulse was named one of TIME’s top 50 apps of 2011 and has won the prestigious Apple Design Award, even getting praises from the late Steve Jobs.
