Twitter Retires @Spam Account
Twitter has finally decided to get rid of its @spam account last week as it tweeted its final message on Thursday (April 18). The move was finally made after it was first announced via tweet on February 25th. As it turned out, it seems that a lot of people are still confused as to what constitutes as a spam because of the huge number of non spam-related reports Twitter gets from users.

This decision was made with the intent to eliminate instances of getting such reports to the @spam account. From now on, users shall send all of their problems to the @support account, regardless of whether it’s spam-related or not.
“This way”, Twitter says, “the actual spam reports will get labeled as such while things like annoying user sending you too many direct messages are handled differently and/or appropriately.
