Creating Bokeh Effect Using Photoshop
In this tutorial you will learn to create an awesome bokeh effect using Photoshop. Basically the Brush Tool (B) is what you need in order to create this beautifully ethereal effect, and it is very easy to do.
These are the tools you will need to create your custom brush:
- Ellipse Tool
- Field Blur
- Gaussian Blur
Using the Ellipse Tool (E) you will create a Bokeh brush for the basic shapes, plus hue and saturation. Then you add a Field Blur filter for the basic shapes you will use on your background image.
In my experience, the more they’re clustered together the brush effects are, the better the result. So be imaginative and play around with the layout.
I hope this tutorial helps!
