Sproutcore - HTML5 Application Framework
SproutCore is an open-source project dedicated to building a world-class platforms for building rich cloud applications on the web.
Consumers are spending more and more time using devices other than a PC to access their dataSproutCore team believe that as time goes on, more and more users will want to keep their business and personal data in the cloud so that they can access it from any of these devices.
SproutCore is not for enhancing web pages. SproutCore is about building full apps. By definition these can’t degrade into simple HTML markup. SproutCore is not intended for spicing up document-oriented web pages.

- iWork.com - Apple’s online iWork document viewing/sharing application. (Uses 0.9)
- Kiva Loan Browser - Next generation loan browser for Kiva loans. Awesome!
- MobileMe - Apple’s online version of Mail, Calendar, Address Book, iDisk Manager and Photo Gallery. (Uses 0.9)
- OtherInbox - Better than email. It’s your other inbox. (currently uses 0.9. 1.0 version coming soon).
- PaperCube - Paper visualization research project by Peter Bergstrom. Uses 0.9 with SVG and Canvas.
- Insightify - A new age survey product, extremely simple to use, SC made it extremely fast. It’s invitation only right now
Current Status
The core code for SproutCore 1.0 (i.e. Bitburger and Abbot) is in beta state.
