Adding Instagram Badges to Your WordPress Profile

If you’re running a WordPress site that relies heavily on photography, images, illustrations, or any other visual content, it helps to own a supplementary Instagram account to feature more of your content. Absurd as it may seem though,

not all WordPress themes support Instagram links, and if your site happens to run on such a theme, it can be quite troublesome for you and your regular followers to find and install a new IG-friendly theme, as well as adapt to it. So how do you add your IG badge to your profile without messing up your current template?

Sparanoid designer and operator Tungshiao Liu recently launched an Instagram widget plugin that lets you install your Instagram badge to your profile, and it works both in single and WordPress multisite installations.

All you have to do is download the Instagram Badges widget plugin, activate it, and follow the steps below:

  • 1. Open Dashboard -> Appearances -> Widgets
  • 2. Drag the Instagram Badges widget to your sidebar
  • 3. Key in your username and select the badge size in pixels
  • And that’s it!
