There’s something very cool seeing a portrait with a touch of psychedelia on it, so here’s a nice tutorial courtesy of Kitty from Online Free Tips that will teach you how to create your own psychedelic art effect in your image. This latest technique will make the image more appealing and have a unique character.

For creating this effect, you’ll need Photoshop effects, most notably Blend Modes. This tool will transform the image to a marbleized paper style. A mix of selection and masking skills are required to pull this trick off. You’ll also get to use the Channels Panel then create a series of masks and color fills. Other tools used are Layers, Show Transform Controls, Layer masks, different Curves layers so you can control the tones, High Pass filter to emphasize the details on the facial part of the portrait.
