Haiku - Clean & Simple HTML5 Audio Player for WordPress

Haiku is a clean and simple HTML5 audio player for WordPress, based on jQuery and jPlayer. It use text links instead of a bulky graphical player. Haiku inserts a text link to control playback. Hailku automatically Reverts to an invisible Flash player for browsers that don’t yet support HTML5.

Most audio player plugins rely on Flash, which doesn’t work on mobile devices. This player is tested and working on iPhone, iPad, Android, and other mobile devices, as well as IE 6 and all modern browsers.

It’s simple javascript and CSS, so it’s infinitely customizable! If you want the player to look or behave differently, just change a little bit of CSS and javascript and you can do almost anything you want with it. You can download haiku from the WordPress Plugin Repository.

    Hey, thanks for the shout out! Stay tuned for the next version, which is coming out in a few days. It’s still a simple text player by default, but there will be a graphical mode if people want to use it.

      Hi dalton, this is most simple and clean audio player I ever find. You have to keep this player simple. If you plan to release the graphical mode, it must be come as optional and configurable.

        Hi Mufti,
        Yes, we are keeping the clean and simple text version by default. In fact, we’re making it even simpler: we’re making the pause button optional, so it will just be play/stop. But I think the graphical mode will be a welcome feature for some users… I’ll send a note when it’s released.
