New WordPress Version 3.2 For iOS Now Has Featured Image Support

If you use an iOS device for on-the-go blogging then you might be delighted to hear this news. WordPress has just released a major update to its iOS app, which now includes one of the most user-requested features: support for featured images. Now you can upload a ‘Featured Image’ to your blog posts from directly within the app by using the uploader in the Settings section of the Post Editor.

The new version also now has push notifications support for self-hosted blogs, which alerts user of any new comments on their posts. Moreover, the app preferences can now be found within the app itself and NOT anymore in the idevice’s Settings panel (Home > Settings > WordPress). The update states that it has managed to fix almost 70 bugs that caused the app to crash, and that it also included tweaks to the Stats.

Make sure that your idevice is currently running on iOS 4.3 or higher so you can download the new 3.2 version of the app right from the iTunes App Store.
