CakeForum is a fast and lightweight CakePHP powered forum software with very basic functionality. It is being actively developed and new features are popping up on a daily basis. CakeForum is built purely with CakePHP
Why CakeForum?
When working on a project there was a need for a simple forum. Integrating some of existing forum software with CakePHP was not a good idea because of the complex nature of the project. The idea of our own CakePHP powered forum was born. After the basic functionality was there we made an initial release and decided to publish it as an open source project.
Why should I use CakeForum?
If you are working with CakePHP and need a simple forum CakeForum is the right choice. CF uses many CakePHP features and you will integrate CF in your application easily.
CakeForum is still in beta version, not recommended to use in production.
